Black Jet Radio - Dead Wine

Black Jet Radio was born with the release of a 45rpm demo recorded by Brian Jenkins of The Sacred Broncos and Danisha Jenkins on a winter weekend in December. Tracks "Dead Wine" and "Ugly" brought to mind a Blondie meets the New York Dolls comparison with a mix of Cabaret inspired vocals, fuzz guitars, pulsing drums, driving bass, and a touch of Lowry organ. Shortly after, the band recruited Shelby Siefring of Thunderhawk to work the drums and Danielle Teagarden on bass, guitar, and vocals rounding out the lineup of Brian on guitar and bass and Danisha on lead vocals.

In support of the new single “Dead Wine,” the band decided to enlist the help of Kasey Lee to create a music video for the track. While the track roars from the distorted guitar and bass on top of the bass drum and snare rhythm, Danisha Jenkins uses her sultriness and prowess to add hauntingly-sexy vocals to complete the track. The end result is a addictive garage-rock anthem that keeps me anxiously awaiting for the 7″ single as well as a full album in the near future. Check out the video below and head to their website below where you can listen to more Black Jet Radio.
