Pegasvs

   Pegasvs are Sergio Pérez García and Luciana della Villa from Barcelona, ES, both members from Thelematicos.

   Pegasvs was born in Asturias, Spain in 2010, with the recording of ‘La melodia del afilador’ Atlantico’, their second effort recorded in Barcelona, grabbed the attention of label Canada who offered them an album deal.

   Their eponymous long player debut ‘Pegasvs’ was released in March 2012, preceded by two other cuts from the album ‘El Final De La Noche’ and ‘ Brillar’.

Olga Kouklaki

   
  Olga was born in Athens (Greece) . She starts playing the piano at the age of 8 and never quits music since: While doing her classical music studies, curiosity brings her into the electronic scene .She starts djing to greek bars and clubs and learns music production. Sept 2001 she moves to Paris djing, taking courses in interior design and contemporary music .

  In January 2003 she releases her first track in the UK (sumsonic.rec.uk) called `Don`t look at me` by the name of ODD and starts cooperating with the french label Fcommunication. She participates at the live project of Jay Alanki (aka Reminiscent Drive) and starts giving concerts as a programmer-keybord player.

   In Dec 2003 she records vocals for Fred`s Avril track `tv dinner` (album `Members Only`- Label Fcom) and in April 2004 she records vocals for Poni Hoax`s track `Budapest`(label Tigersushi). Budapest is released in December 2005, enters compilations as Fabric in the UK, ‘Les Inrocks’ mag ‘s monthly compilation in France and receives great reviews all over Europe.

   She also participates at the live project of Bang Bang (Yellow prod.) and Nouvelle Vague (Peacefrog) as a programmer-keybord player. Then, she works on her own project produced by Marc Collin (The Perfect Kiss / PIAS) . Her EP ‘Getalife’ with Blackstrobe’s remix is now in stores.

The Do - Both Ways Open Jaws (2011)

  The Dø is a folk/pop band formed in 2007 comprising Dan Levy and Olivia Bouyssou Merilahti from Paris, France and Helsinki, Finland respectively. Their name apparently derives from the first note in the C-major scale. 

  The Dø’s music can be classified as diverse, incorporating many different genres and styles, including avant-garde noise, hip-hop and classical music. Thus the music could be said to fit into the freak folk-genre. The band’s debut record was called A Mouthful and was released within Europe in 2008. A Mouthful was released in April, 2010, in U.S. by Six Degrees.

  In 2011 they released Both Ways Open Jaws under the same record label.

Kent - Isola (1997)

  Kent is a Swedish alternative rock band founded in Eskilstuna in 1990, with the name Coca-Cola Kids, later Jones & Giftet (Jones & the Poison), and Havsänglar (Angel sharks, literally Sea angels).
  The band's logo is distinctive, using a lowercase "k" and theITC Avant garde Gothic Book typeface.

  They are one of the most popular rock groups in Sweden, and describe themselves as "Sweden's biggest rock band", but are more or less unknown outside Scandinavia. 

  Kent briefly attempted an international career with English versions of the albums Isola and Hagnesta Hill and an accompanying American tour for the former, but they gave up after failing to achieve the breakthrough they had hoped for.

  The discography consists of eight studio albums(with two of them also released in English), onecompilation album, one box set, one EP, twenty-eight Swedish and six English singles.

   Isola is an album released in 1997. It was followed in 1998 by an English version, for which a new song, "Velvet", was recorded. The album name comes from Ed McBains books about the 87:th police district and is a paraphrase for New York city, and Isola is mentioned in the song "Oprofessionell"/"Unprofessional".
  The album is said to have been largely influenced by Radiohead despite the difference in its sound. The ending song from the album, 747, has become a fan favourite and is usually one of the songs Kent use to close their concerts.

Emmon - Nomme

  
   Emmon is the solo project of Emma Nylén. She is also one of the member of the Swedish pop-band Paris. The Emmon-project was started in 2001 as an experimental music vs. art project under her art studies at Konstfack University Collage of fine Art in Stockholm. Emmon..s computer based music lays on the border between pop, synth, electro and disco music. Its based on her vocal resources with a lot of attitude and melodic pop songs. She also working as a DJ and doing remixes for other bands and artists. For example: The Knife, Melody Club, Homy, Soviac, Postplay. 

   In the very beginning, her music was quite minimal and rather monotonous electronica, actually a bit electro-clash inspired. But over the years, her music has matured into an energetic and melodic style of electropop, often very danceable and catchy. The music is both cold and warm, hard and soft, all at the same time. It's urban, European, modern, authentic, stylish and elegantly sexy, just like Emma herself.

  In 7 February 2007, Emmon released her debut album The Art and the Evil on Wonderland Records. It was written, produced, mixed and engineered by Emma Nylén. The tracks “Rock D’Amour” and “Time Can Only Make Things Better” were co-written and co-produced by Jon Axelsson. Three singles supported the album: "Wake Up Time” (issued in 2006), “Rock D'Amour” and “Down Below”.

   The sophomore album, Closet Wanderings, was issued in 19 February 2009, on Wonderland Records. Like her debut album, it was written, produced, mixed and engineered by Emma Nylén. The songs “Torturous Pleasure” and “Lips on Fire” were co-written and co-produced by Jon Axelsson. Two singles supported the album: “Secrets & Lies” and “Lips on Fire”.

 In June 2011, Emmon issued the third album Nomme on Wonderland Records. The album was preceded by two singles: “Distance” and “Ghost Dance”.

    Lovers of Miss Kittin will surely be pleased with this record. I dare to state the melodies on this record are better, more refined and Emma has a wider vocal range. Satisfying bass sounds in “Baseepressen”, sparkling melodies in “Distance”, eighties flavours in “Ghost Dance”, all in all enough elements for dance floor purposes.

   On top this is a varying album with enough subtlety for various listening sessions. 

  “Nomme” may need some time to grow, but it is definately her best work to date. A very good Electropop journey is guaranteed.

Polly Scattergood

  Polly Scattergood is a British singer-songwriter from Colchester, Essex, England, UK. She has been described as ethereal, dark, intense and quirky, while her musical style has been described as "early 21st century electro-dance-pop of London proper". Scattergood's debut album, self-titled, was released in spring 2009 in the United Kingdom and United States. It received mixed, but generally positive, reviews.

   Her name Scattergood is her family name. It means "here today, gone tomorrow" or "spendthrift waster".

  
  Scattergood describes herself as a storyteller. "I write about emotions and moments, not all are biographical." 

  Scattergood's debut single entitled "Glory Hallelujah" was released in 2005. Her September 2007 single "Nitrogen Pink" is about the fragility of life and how quickly things come and go. It was written about "a friend of a friend who was really sick from cancer, this young guy who was only 30 and had a great, happy life but was slowly deteriorating". 

 The single "I Hate the Way" which was written on a toy keyboard was released on 22 September 2008 on both limited edition 10 inch vinyl and iTunes. The song has been described as documenting her emotional instability and penchant of going to bed with unsuitable men.

On November 10, 2008 Scattergood was a guest on the Rob Da Bank show where three of her songs were played ("I Hate The Way", "Untitled 27" & "Nitrogen Pink"). Da Bank called her "The Kate Bush of the 21st century". Later that month, on the 28th, she played an acoustic set on the Janice Long show ("I Hate The Way", "Please Don't Touch" & "I've Got A Heart"). When asked about her discovery of music, she replied, "I found a guitar when I was about 12, in the coat cupboard, it had maybe 3 strings on it ... I just taught myself".

   On March 7, 2009 Scattergood gave a live studio session on the BBC Radio 2 Dermot O'Leary show. Her cover version of "Puff, the Magic Dragon" proved to be popular with listeners, introducing many for the first time to the artist.

  Polly Scattergood was released 9 March 2009 in the United Kingdom.and on 19 May in the United States.

  "Other Too Endless" was released as a single from the album on 23 February 2009. It was named "record of the week" on the Steve Lamacq show. The download version features a remix by Vince Clarke who is a member of Erasure, ex Assembly (where he shared the spoils with ex Undertones frontman Feargal Sharkey), ex Yazoo and ex Depeche Mode. iTunes made it 'Single of the Week' on 30 March 2009. "Please Don't Touch" was her second single, released on 4 May 2009. She then re-released "Nitrogen Pink" and released "Bunny Club" as singles.

 

  The lengthy “I Hate The Way” opens the album compellingly, beginning with Scattergood’s whispered, confiding vocals, passing through a strident guitar motif and building to an off-kilter spoken-word coda. “Maybe if I skip my dinner / Make myself pretty and thinner / Maybe then he’ll love me / And stop looking at the other girls”, Scattergood wonders, desperately.

   The record concludes with Breathe In Breathe Out, a serene piano ballad accented with bird twitters. It is a weary resignation after all the preceding catharsis as Scattergood's voice delicately falters with the lyric "Learn to breathe in/Learn to breathe out/I can't let you go...yet."

   There is something truly magical about Scattergood's debut; it breaks your heart with the delicacy of a heart surgeon. She accomplishes a record akin to a diary of an eighteenth-century woman accused of hysterics and committed to Bedlam. And when you're finished listening, you emerge feeling purified by insanity. For Scattergood, the people she loves are the ones who are here today, gone tomorrow, leaving her naked and impoverished; her only crime is being a spendthrift with her love.

Propylaion - Mimicry

   

   Propylaion is a indie pop band from Hamburg, Germany, formed in 1995.

   It's very interesting name for a band "propylaion" which  is a greek word for a monumental gateway leading towards a sanctuary.
